Infographic Poster
Fig 2.1-3 Existing Infographic Poster, Week3 (18/2/2025)
From Project1 instructions, students requires to find a reference from internet to recreate it with more proper way. I found these three infographic posters.
First poster has a problem in contents order and it breaks the flow of eye movement. The alphabetical order is not here, and the contents are too much in one poster.
Second poster has a problem in typography. The sentences are too small and has large amount in one space.
Third poster has problem in the contents order. When I saw this design, the pictures come up first because the sentences are not readable.
After the week3 consultation, lecturer and I choose poster no.1 to recreate.

Fig 2.7 Recreate designs, Week4 (24/2/2025)
To make consistency in whole design, I recreate design from original poster.
Fig 2.8 Working screen, Week4 (25/2/2025)
I try to get simple design to prepare next animation step. The requirements is A4 size, so I arrange both ends of canvas to get more ideal layout.
Fig 2.9-10 Working process, Week4 (27/2/2025)
I was struggle to get sweet place of each sentences. Taking balance with other elements is really hard for me.

Minimal animated infographic
After done with Task1 part1: infographic poster, I proceed to animate it.
I use AfterEffects to edit.
Fig 3.1 Working screen #1, Week4 (2/3/2025)
In AfterEffects, I use shape layer to make delay expression. However, I couldn't understand how it works in here, so I was really struggle with getting ideal animation.
Fig 3.2 Working screen #2, Week4 (2/3/2025)
This is my favourite part. Before editing in AE, I prepare some layers in photoshop to make my animation more smoothly. I separate base book and the page, then I could get smooth animation of turning a page.
Fig 3.3 Working screen #3, Week5 (3/3/2025)
I animate every visual materials by the time difference. The order of the movement is top to bottom, left to right.
Fig 3.4 Working screen #4, Week5 (3/3/2025)
Fig 3.5-6 Working progress, Week5 (7/3/2025)
I got a feedback from week5 consultation that my animated poster has a problem in typography. The fonts are too small and it lose visibility. At the same time, my poster is not suit for social media because it has a lot of sentences. After recognise the problem, I try to reduce the word amount to make it more suit for social media. I increased every font sizes to get more clear visual.

FEEDBACK
Week3 (21/2/2025)
Specific Feedback... From your chosen posters, number 1 is best for recreate. Just choose one section from this poster because it already has too much information in it. For poster number 2 and 3, the designs are good, however, they are having problem in typography.
Week5 (7/3/2025)
Specific feedback... Your animated poster have too much text. Reduce them and make it more suit for social media. For example, the videos in Instagram have no text or few text and explain details in the caption. They separate the roles of explanation in different media. In your poster, the text is too small and it lose visibility.
REFLECTIONS
Through this project, I could learn how to simplify the informations with infographic principles. Informations can be convey more effectively by creating designs with the movement of the human eye in mind. The alphabetical order and hierarchy make the design more clean and it lead viewers to proper direction.
The fact that I understand all the design problem in existing poster that the lecturer pointed out in week3 consultation gave me confidence. Lecturer gave me a knowledge of design in social media and how they work effectively in specific media. That knowledge gave me a chance of recreate my video again. I could get problem-solving skills for designs and know how to apply it properly.
